We have invested over £14 million in the Trust over the past 20 years and operate Xcite Venues and more recently the Howden Park Centre, the Low Port Centre, Polkemment Golf and Driving Range, as well as leisure facilities in local secondary schools. We are one of the least state-funded trusts in Scotland. In providing its services as an Xcite, WLL works with many partners including West Lothian Council, NHS Lothian, West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership, Creative Scotland, sportscotland and many of the sport`s governing bodies. In this way, we are making a significant contribution to many of the outcomes of the West Lothian Community Planning Partner`s single-result agreement and to the Scottish Government`s vision for Scotland, where more people are more likely to be active. The day-to-day operations of the organization are led by the senior management team, led by the CEO, who receives strategic leadership from a non-executive board of directors. There are 11 directors on the Board of Directors (all of whom are volunteers) and they have ultimate control over the organization that is subject to the provision and operation of services in accordance with contracts, leases and funding agreements with West Lothian Council and other partners. Please note that due to best practice standards for the publication of statistics, the published action table on results agreements is a summary of the table submitted to SFC. The full table was signed as part of the results agreement process, but only the summary table is displayed in the published document. West Lothian Leisure (WLL) was founded on 1 February 1998. WLL is a limited liability company registered in Scotland with registration number SC 543017 and a Scottish charity SC027470.
